About the Chef – Cibu Thomas Jacob
Hello, I’m Cibu Thomas Jacob, founder and Head Chef of Auzzie Masala Catering. My passion for food began decades ago, leading me to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management and pursue what has now become a lifelong culinary journey spanning over 28 years.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of travelling across the world, exploring different taste buds and cultures — experiences that have deeply influenced my approach to food. My expertise covers a wide range of cuisines including Italian, Brazilian, Continental, Indian, Mediterranean, and Chinese, each inspiring me to create dishes that celebrate both authenticity and creativity.
Since 2011, I’ve continued this culinary journey here in Australia, where Auzzie Masala Catering was born — a passionate innovation that started as a family-owned business and continues to thrive today.
My business partner and better half, Reema, shares the same passion for cooking. Her love for South Indian cuisine shines through in some of our most beloved dishes, which have become true Auzzie Masala delicacies. Together with our sons, Ken and Kevin, who each play their own special roles, we’re proud to bring a touch of home, heart, and heritage to every event we cater.
